You may be wondering, what on earth do chocolate and sweets have in common with Bingo. Here in Hershey… a LOT! The Chocolate & More Sweet Treat Trail in Hershey and Harrisburg, PA has turned chocolate and sweet shops into a Bingo game – fun (and tasty) for a romantic getaway for two! While the town of Hershey is synonymous with Hershey’s famous chocolate, there are other sweet shops and area businesses you may not know about. The Sweet Treat Trail helps visitors and locals get acquainted with our sweet cities and attractions. So how does it work?
Download Your Bingo Card
The first step is to download your Bingo card. The official Sweet Treat Trail Bingo card works similar to a standard Bingo game. As you can see above, the card contains 25 unique squares that represent a participating business in the area. The goal is to complete a pattern of 5 businesses in a row – horizontally, vertically, or diagonally (4-corners does not apply). However, rather than someone calling out a name, you will visit the square (business) of your choice and make a purchase.
Let’s Play!
After downloading your card (it must be printed on paper), determine which 5 locations in a row that you would like to visit – of course you can always visit more than 5! When you visit a participating business and make a purchase, a store clerk will stamp the corresponding square on your Bingo card.
Some squares only require taking a selfie at a certain location, such as the “Man on the Bench” statue, or the Pennsylvania Capitol (public tours are free!). Other squares simply require paid admission to an attraction or event, such as Echo Dell Indian Echo Caverns.
The Shops & Stops
You’ll enjoy visiting such delightful shops, such as:
- Strites’ Orchard, over a 100 years of family farming. You can purchase fresh produce, scrumptious baked goods from their bakery, plants from their garden center, and much more.
- Grove’s Brittle Works is a family business celebrating 65 years in business! Try their delicious peanut brittle or sea salt caramels.
- Little Essie Mae’s Sweet Shoppe offers some incredible baked goodies, like mini cheesecakes, and customized cakes and cupcakes.
- Of course a visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World is a must. Here, you can create your own candy bar, sample chocolate, take a tour… it’s a sweet experience for everyone.
- For a little more substance to keep you going, stop by Phillip Arthur’s Cafe for their signature wraps and sandwiches, fresh salads, brick oven pizza and a refreshing drink.

Bingo!
Once you’ve received 5 stamps in a row, you can submit your Bingo card in online or by mail. All members of the family can “play” Bingo, however only one entry per household is permitted. You also must be at least 18 years of age to submit a Bingo card for a prize. Every valid card submitted will win a HERSHEY’S Chocolate Drawstring Backpack within 30 days of submission. Of course, the goodies you receive and the memories you make on the Trail are also wonderful prizes.
Be sure to visit the official Visit Hershey Harrisburg website for rules and more information.
